FCE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION: JEREMY GODINA-"AUSTIN HAS TO BEAT ME TO BECOME THE CHAMPION, AND THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!"

Jeremy Godina, the FCE Middleweight Champion made his thoughts clear in a recent interview.

Godina talked about his illness, where he is currently at- physically, thoughts about Interim FCE Middleweight Champion-Luke Austin.

 GODINA:

"First off, I want to apologize to all my fans. A big part of why I do it is because of the fans and I know I disappointed a lot of people by not being there. I have seen a doctor since I got sick and the medicine is working and has been helping out. I've been getting good results, so its looking like I'll be able to get off the medicine and get back in training pretty soon," said Godina.

ILLNESS:

"At first I got strep throat. I was training really hard and I ended up getting sick to the point where I wasn't able to eat for a couple of days. I also started losing weight by not even training. I lost 8 lbs by not eating at all for three to four days. It got to the point were I got worried that I had to go to the doctor. When I went, the doctor told me I had strep throat and by waiting so long to see the doctor, it also caused a virus in my stomach," said Godina.

"I waited to the last minute, I practiced all the way until Thursday night and when I went to the doctor, I pretty much had nothing left. The medicine is working well, so hopefully this will be the last week that I have to take it. Next week, I'll slowly start training and getting back into shape and after that I only need a good month of training.  So whenever Nilo or Brian are able to put me back into the cage, I'll be ready. After I get my results, I'll be more comfortable and able to tell a more realistic comeback date," said Godina.

Training:

"Currently I'm not training at all. After I found out that the strep throat was contagious, I stopped training and it got so bad that I couldn't even go to work. When it gets to the point when I'm worried about my health, it can no longer be about the fight. I have done nothing but stay at the house," said Godina.

Godina had the next to say in regards to Luke Austin's win as Interim Champion.

Luke Austin and his Win:

"First and foremost, I want to make it clear- He (Austin) has to beat me before he is the champ. In some sort of way, his team and him think, for some reason, or seem to be mixed up. I mean, yea, he had his night and everything but I hope that nobody is mixed up about the fact that he needs to beat me, which means its not going to be done. When I'm 100%......it doesn't even matter....he can be Interim, he can be #1 Contender, it doesn't matter-I still have the belt. I'm still Champ," said Godina.

Final Comments:

"I just want everybody to know that I trained my ass off for the fight against Austin. Towards Luke, again- I want him to know that I want him to feel that he is not, nowhere near champion yet, until he beats me. I want him to know that until he beats Jeremy Godina- he will not be the champ- and he won't beat Jeremy Godina, so he might as well get that thought of that one night when he got that guy out of his head. The pictures with that belt are only going to be a memory from this point on," said Jeremy Godina.

When asked what can FCE fans expect to see from him when he returns to the cage, Godina said,"A more in shape, fiery, angry, pissed off person because I feel that I let a lot of people down for one. And two, for no reason at all, should my property be used in anybody else's picture. That belt is mine, so pretty much to take my belt and have that joy when its my property- that pisses me off. So fans can expect to see one pissed off m*thafu*ker in the cage!"
