FCE finalist for Lightweight Grand Prix, Lance Surma is siked and ready to go for Guillermo Serment at WEED ST. MASSACRE later this evening.

FCE:  On the FCE website, the fans responded with you being the victor for the Lightweight Championship, how do you feel about that with people thinking of you already winning the fight? Are you looking past Serment?

LS:  It means alot to me...I really believe in myself and I know my team believes in me, but it helps just much more knowing that I have FCE fans behind me as well...And no, I'm not lookin past Serment...I've never looked past any fighter and I don't plan on starting now.

FCE:  Do you see Wil as being your toughest opponent?

LS:  I don't know, I guess we will see come Friday...Serment and I have very similar styles so it's hard to say...I hope he tough, it will make for an exciting fight.

FCE:  We know you are a cardio machine as we saw in your last fight with Harold Robinson.  Serment can finish fights early like you saw with Quinonez or got the distance like he did with Passarella, are you training differently for that and are you ready to go the distance with Serment?

LS:  I feel like the longer the fight lasts, the more to my advantage it is.  We've changed up a few things specific for this fight, but nothing major.  I've been working hard and just trying to be as prepared as possible.  As far as being ready to got the distance with Serment, I'm ready to do whatever it takes to win the FCE Lightweight title.

FCE:  Do you see it going the distance or you finishing it early?

LS:  I can see it going either way.  This fight alot to me, as I'm sure it does for SErment, so both of us are going to come in there on tope of our game.  If it does end up going the distance, the fans can expect the most exciting fight of the night...Don't blink.

FCE:  What did you thing of Serment's last fight with Quinonez?  Quinonez seemed upset with the end results, do you think it was a fair stoppage or ended early?

LS:  I feel like Miguel made a few minor mistakes that really cost him the fight...When you fight tough competition like FCE, there is no room for mistakes.  As far as the stoppage, I don't really know.  He was punching back, but wasn't protecting himself.  It was tough call to make and the ref always has the fighters safety in mind.

FCE:  How important is it to hear "Lance Surma, The FCE Lightweight Champion"?

LS:  It's all I can think about right now...It will mean that I have achieved a goal that I set over a year ago when I had my first fight with FCE...I can't wait to get in there and make it happen.
